The Fruit Case Company is a division of the Turners and Growers Group which has a long and proud history as leaders in our field. We supply New Zealand’s produce industry with crates, pallets and bins for packaging, storage and transportation of fresh produce.
We are currently looking to recruit a Commercial/Financial Analyst to join our Mt Wellington based team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing sound financial advice to support decision making across the business.
This role incorporates both financial and commercial elements, and it will give you the opportunity to utilize and further develop your accounting and analytical skills and provide advice and guidance in a variety of areas beyond finance.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a finance/commercial role
- Must have recent, demonstrated experience in the preparation and completion of complex budgets
- Demonstrated analytical experience including price/margin and sales analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Experience working within the FMCG industry preferred
- Proven technical and accounting system experience (Previous experience with SAP accounting software would be an advantage)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Staff management experience
- Operational background desirable
Your technical skills coupled with strong communication skills will allow you to report meaningful information and give recommendations to the management team. You will have great attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task, and will also be able to work autonomously, use your own initiative and be pro-active when problem solving. This position also has 2 direct reports, so someone with experience in managing a small team is a must!
